High school diploma or equivalent, technical training in state-approved school of vocational nursing, licensed as an LVN by the state of Texas and at least one year of nursing experience in a hospital, school or doctor’s office, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Operating computer to record and retrieve information using both IMMTRAC and TWICES automated tracking system; running monthly reports; inventorying vaccines; transferring vaccine from main refrigerator to shot room refrigerator to store daily vaccines. Storage and handling of refrigerated and frozen vaccines, without breaking cold chain cycle; maintaining and recording temperatures for both refrigerators; completing new TVFC Eligibility Form for each new client; referring clients to WIC when applicable, answering telephone and providing information to clients; attending staff/safety meetings; performing lab duties such as drawing blood; performing related work as necessary and/or as assigned; ensuring client confidentiality as stated in HIPAA Privacy Notice; cooperating fully with Department of State Health Services survey teams; supervising Immunization Clerk in absence of Public Health RN and/or as necessary as set forth by Health Director. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (with occasional extended hours) and starting salary range is $18.74- $21.72 per hour.
