A new way to service our vendors
The Purchasing Department is now offering a FREE e-bidding and vendor registration system allowing vendors to receive email notification of bidding opportunities as well as submitting bids and proposals electronically based upon selected project categories.
Vendors are asked to register on Bonfire in order to create their free profile and immediately have access to download solicitations.
Bidding opportunities will still be found on the Purchasing Department’s Website; however, if you were set up to receive electronic notifications for
Brazoria County bid opportunities in the former system, you must re-register through Bonfire’s Procurement Portal at: https://brazoriacounty.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=login in order to continue receiving electronic bid notifications. If you have already registered through the Bonfire platform for Brazoria County bidding opportunities, no additional action is required.
Registration is absolutely FREE and will only take a few moments. Select at least one, or more, project categories.
Benefits of E-bidding:
- No charge to register
- Automatically receive notifications by email of posted bids and addendums
- Complete and submit your bid or proposal response online
- Available 24 hours with internet access
If you have any questions during your registration, please click on the blue Help button provided for you on the Bonfire website or contact the Bonfire Support team.
The Purchasing Department of Brazoria County was established October of 1999, based on Commissioner’s Court decision to have a centralized Purchasing Department. Since that time, the Purchasing Department has established policies and procedures for the procurement of goods and services for the County in accordance with procurement laws of the State of Texas.
The Purchasing Department is comprised of three sections, Buying, Contracts and Asset Management. These three sections work together with County departments to ensure the most economical, proper, and responsive purchase of all materials and equipment used by the County.
The Purchasing Department also provides responsible bidders a fair and equal opportunity to compete for County business. This is accomplished by complying with statutory requirements and the County’s purchasing policies and procedures.
In addition, the Purchasing Department works in concert with the County Auditor as a part of a system of checks and balances to ensure the proper expenditure of taxpayer dollars.
