Warming up to Winter - Tonics, Syrups, and the Immune System

22 September 2018 the Brazoria County Historical Museum will host at 21017 CR 171, Angleton, Tx –Warming up to Winter Herbal Workshop

How would you like to learn to use herbs, spices and living plants to maintain your health and improve your immune system?

Learn about herbs that can warm and soothe the body, support and strengthen the immune system, and nourish the soul from herbalist Bekka Laurent as she presents an Herbal Workshop on Saturday, September 22nd at 10:00 am, at 21017 CR 171 in Angleton. Laurent continues her Home Herbal First Aid Course with “Warming up to Winter.” In this class, we will discuss specific remedies, including teas and tinctures that ease flu and cold symptoms, effective cough syrups you can make at home, and foods and lifestyle choices that can help both prevent and heal common winter ailments. Gain hands-on experience in making your own healthy, inexpensive, and effective tonics and syrups. The workshop fee is $40 per person and includes all herbal supplies, an all remedy foods lunch, and an Herbal Reference Booklet.
