Today, the Texas General Land Office announced a Homeowner Assistance Mobile Intake Center will open on Feb. 7 in Angleton to serve homeowners in the south Brazoria area who were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The center will be open on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Homeowners affected by Hurricane Harvey may qualify for assistance through the HGAC-E/Gulf Coast Region Homeowner Assistance Program and are strongly encouraged to submit an application, either in-person at a Homeowner Assistance Center or online, for recovery assistance. The program offers qualified homeowners assistance to repair, rehabilitate or rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey.
Applicants may be eligible for assistance if they owned their home, it was damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Harvey and it was their primary residence, among other eligibility factors. Potential applicants are encouraged to review the Homeowner Assistance Program Checklist to have all necessary documentation ready prior to applying.
Additionally, homeowners are welcome to visit the HGAC-E/Gulf Coast Region Homeowner Assistance Centers, located in Texas City. Location and hours of operation are as follows:
