New SimplyE Library App Makes eBooks Even Easier to Read
It is now easier than ever to take the Library with you, whether you're at home, on your commute, or enjoying the summer at the beach. You can download the new SimplyE app for iPhone/iPad or Android, login with your library card credentials, and start reading.
Patrons who love to access eBooks and digital audiobooks, but were frustrated by having to use separate apps for each provider can now simplify their digital experience using the new open-source app SimplyE.
Developed by the New York Public Library and now available to BCLS cardholders, SimplyE is a multi-library app which means if you belong to other participating libraries, you can add those accounts as well. For example, Brazoria County Library cardholders who have a Houston Public Library card can now access their collection of ebooks as well in SimplyE.
SimplyE provides library patrons access to the digital content provided to the library through Bibliotheca Cloud Library, RBDigital (Recorded Books) and Odillo – all in one easy to use app.
Patrons simply download the free app, find the library in the drop-down menu, and enter their library card number and PIN. After the app is set up, patrons can read or listen to content with only three taps: search for a title, download it, and then read or listen!
SimplyE, the library e-reading app, also has a collection of free for anyone to read books called The SimplyE Collection. These books are always available and have no expiration date. This collection of classics is expected to grow over time to include more contemporary works as well as excerpts, short stories and more.
The library digital experience has never been easier!
