Saturday, January 22, 2022, 9 a.m. – noon Winter Paddling Event. Come join the Brazoria Paddlers Club as they hold a paddling event on one of the waterways in Brazoria County. Group will meet at the Swan Lake Public Boat Ramp in Surfside at 9am. We will get our boats ready and try to launch no later than 9:30. Once we all get in the water we will head west on the ICW to Oyster Creek and up and around Cone Island. The trip is only about 5.5 miles long but there will be a portage along the way. About half way we will need to hop out of our boats and carry them over Cone Island Rd (CR 891). This will mean we will all have to get up in the water and get our shoes a little wet and muddy so wear appropriate footwear. 

It will be the start of a new year so new release forms will be needed. The County has a limited number of kayaks available to loan out on a first come basis.
