Commissioner Stacy Adams
Commissioner Stacy Adams is a lifelong resident of Brazoria County and Pearland, Texas. After earning his BBA in Finance from Sam Houston State University, he worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Independent Petroleum Landman and was the owner of Pearland Printing for 10 years until selling his business in 2006.
Stacy was elected as Drainage Commissioner of Brazoria Drainage District #4 in 2002 and re-elected in 2006. As Drainage Commissioner, he served as Chairman, Secretary, and is a charter member of the Chocolate Bayou Steering Committee.
In 2008, Stacy was elected to serve on Brazoria County Commissioners' Court as Commissioner representing Precinct 3, which covers the Pearland and Alvin area. He is currently serving in his fourth term. He aids as the Commissioners' Court liaison to the Brazoria County’s Library System, Information Systems, 288 Corridor Development Team and Vice-Chair of Gulf Coast Regional 911 Emergency Communication District. He also represents Brazoria County on the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC) Board of Directors. Stacy serves as 2019 Past-Chair of the HGAC Board of Directors, and currently sits on the Finance and Budget Committee as well as the Corporation of Regional Excellence Committee.
Commissioner Adams is very active in both the Alvin and Pearland communities. His community activities include membership in Pearland Rotary Club, Pearland Neighborhood Center, Founder of the Pearland Area Republican Club, and past-president of Lady Oiler Golf Booster Club.
Stacy and his wife Michele, have been married for 34 years. They have one daughter Hannah, who is a graduate of Texas A&M and resides in Austin, Texas. Commissioner Adams and his family are members of First Presbyterian Church of Pearland.
