Mission
Our mission as assigned by the Sheriff is to provide effective and efficient law enforcement, detention, civil and court security services to the residents and visitors of Brazoria County. We aim to provide fair and impartial services, holistically through collaborative partnerships within our office, community and other law enforcement agencies to enhance the quality of life for those we serve.
Vision
The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) deputies and staff continually strive to be a premier law enforcement agency in the State of Texas. To accomplish this vision, we employ quality, highly-trained personnel and foster dynamic leaders throughout our agency who will achieve this vision through innovation, transparency and accountability to the residents of Brazoria County. BCSO will be the bridge between law enforcement, first responders and members of our community.

ALERRT Level 1

  • Introduction: This course is geared towards how peace officers normally carry their duty weapon while on duty.

There will be a total of twenty (20) open spots.  Twelve (12) will be allocated to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, leaving eight (8) for outside agencies to attend.  Waiting lists will be generated.  Outside agency registration will be on a first come, first serve basis unless the twelve (12) BCSO spots are not filled, in which case we will allow for additional outside agencies to register/attend.

**If registration capacity is reached, a waiting list will be created, and you will be notified. **

You must bring the following to class:

  • Full duty rig with at least two (2) magazines
  • ballistic vest
  • on duty uniform optional, but strongly recommended
