BRAZORIA COUNTY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and

2016 & 2017 action plan AMENDMENTS

 A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Commissioners’ Courtroom located in the Brazoria County Courthouse, 111 E. Locust Street, Angleton, Texas and on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Brazoria County East Annex, 1524 E. Mulberry, Angleton, Texas. The purpose of the hearings will be to receive citizen comments and input regarding Amendments to the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and the 2016 and 2017 Action Plans.  The Con Plan Amendment will consist of establishing a disaster response and recovery priority and Action Plan Amendments will reduce the 15% CHDO Set-Aside to 0% for 2016, 2017, and 2018 HOME allocations as Brazoria County was declared a disaster area.  This amendment will also allow Brazoria County to expend up to 20% (normally 10%) of its 2016 and 2017 HOME allocations and program income received for administration and planning costs.  These amendments will help relieve the requirements that may impede the obligations and use of funds to repair damaged properties due to the recent disasters and provide additional funds to pay for increased cost of administering HOME-related disaster relief activities.
