Constable David Thacker

The son of Lt. Col. A.A.  and Ruth Thacker, David was born in England. The Thacker family settled in the Rio Grande Valley when David was a baby. David became a resident of the Brazosport area at the age of 8. He graduated from Brazosport High School and the Brazosport College Law Enforcement Academy. He is retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division. He worked for Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department for three years before moving to the Constable’s Office in 2006. In 2016 David was elected as Brazoria County’s Precinct 1 Constable.

David and his wife, Susie, have been married for 32 years and have two children. Carlie Jo is 21 and is attending Stephen F. Austin State University. Hayden is 16 and is a student at Brazoswood High School.
