If you receive a phone call from someone who says they are from law enforcement, or the courts asking for money. HANG UP. It Is A SCAM!
The County, City, State, or Federal government will NEVER call you demanding money, nor will they have someone call on their behalf. You may even receive something that looks like the document below. IT IS A SCAM!!! The style or words may change but it is still a SCAM. The number that shows up on your phone may appear to be a legitimate number, still HANG UP. They may continue to call and harass you, don’t answer. You can contact a law enforcement agency on their non-emergency line to report a scam. NEVER send money in any form, kiosk, gift card, cash.
