“Brazoria County Purchasing operates as a centralized purchasing department, established in 1999 by the County Commissioner’s Court, and in accordance with all of the procurement laws in the State of Texas.   Purchasing works with departments and the County Auditor to ensure efficiency and cost savings to the residents of the County.

The Purchasing Department strives to provide quality service to our internal clients (county departments) and to offer vendors fair and equitable opportunities to do business with Brazoria County.  This is accomplished by complying with the County’s policies and procedures and State and Federal law. 

The Texas State Comptroller’s Office offers Brazoria County an additional opportunity for excellence through the Transparency Stars Program.  This brings transparency to the procurement process for the general public. The description of the program is found on their website.”
