Day Use Facilities
The east end of the beach ends with the Quintana jetty; the west jetty for the Freeport ship channel. Th jetty is popular for fishing, bird watching or just strolling and watching the ships come in or the dolphins play.
The west end of the beach features a lighted fishing pier. The pier may be accessed after dark outside of the park by vehicle. Surf fishing is allowed anywhere along the beach. Fishing license is required while fishing anywhere in the park.
There are plenty of activities to fill your day aside from enjoying the beach. A large playground, a grass volleyball court, hiking trails, picnic tables and grills. You may borrow game equipment at no charge. Check the events schedule to plan your trip if you are looking for something extra!
From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend every year there is a $5.00 parking fee (cash only) per vehicle collected at the entry gate to the park for day use access of the park and pedestrian beach.
Bagged ice is available for sale in the park office.
Day use hours are 8 am to dusk.
- No glass containers $500 fine.
- Park in designated areas, no parking in grass.
- Pets allowed, but must be leashed at all times.
- Pets not allowed in day house.
- No fireworks or firearms.
- No camping on the beach.
- No fires or charcoal grills on the beach.
- Swim at your own risk.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated

PAVILIONS
Our four pavilions are offered as day use facilities and may be reserved for your special event. Hours for use are 8 am until dusk. All are located on the elevated boardwalk. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend there is a $5.00 parking fee (cash or check only) collected at the entry gate to the park. Guests of pavilion rentals are not exempt from the parking fees.

- Pavilions must be cleaned and vacated 30 minutes prior to sundown.
- No glass containers $500 fine

- No hammocks, tarps, banners, swings etc.
- No torches, candles, grills, propane burners or any type of open flame on the deck.
- $50 refundable security deposit required
- Brazoria County residents receive a $10 discount
- Rental fee, clean up deposit required to hold reservations
- Electricity is provided.
- Water is NOT provided.
- Groups greater than 50 persons with alcohol must provide security one hour before the event and until all guests have left the premises.
- A $0.25 flat fee plus a 2.65% convenience fee will be applied to all credit card transactions.
- 72 hour notice required for cancellations
Sweeny Pavilion - $70
The Sweeny Pavilion has an open slatted roof that provides the perfect amount of shade for an outdoor event. Seating capacity is 48.
Quintana Pavilion - $90
The Quintana Pavilion is located near the end of the boardwalk and is the closest pavilion to the beach and restrooms. Open slatted roof provides shade. Seating capacity is 84.
Bryan Pavilion - $70
The Bryan Pavilion is located adjacent to the Quintana Pavilion and restrooms. Solid roof provides shade and partial protection from rain.
