 Celebrate Early Texas

Our field trip education guides help you, the educator, connect our field trips to the classroom.

We host three field trips a year:

Texas Navy Day on September 14th
Stephen F. Austin's birthday on November 2nd
Texas Independence Day on March 1st

These hands-on field trips connect students to early Texas, bringing both Mexican Texas and the Republic period to life through a series of demonstrations and activities.

All three field trips are aligned to both 4th and 7th grade TEKS standards, with optional classroom activities. These activities include lessons that integrate science, art, and historical inquiry into the classroom.
