  1. Assist veterans & family members in obtaining discharge papers (DD214’s)
  2. Assist veterans in applying for service connected compensation benefits
  3. Assist eligible surviving spouses in applying for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation benefits
  4. Assist veterans & surviving spouses in applying for pension and death pension benefits
  5. Provide veterans with enrollment applications to the VA Medical Center
  6. Coordinate transportation to VAMC appointments (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with ActionS Inc. of Brazoria County
  7. Host Vet Center counseling services on Fridays
  8. Assist with obtaining Burial Benefits for dependents of eligible Veterans
  9. Assist with application of Burial Flag & Markers
  10. Help surviving spouses with CHAMPVA/SBP benefits (if entitled)
  11. Guide dependents in the area of VA/State Veteran Education Benefits
  12. Provide information concerning VA Certificate of Eligibility for Home Loans
  13. Provide Veterans and Widows with information for Property Tax Relief (if eligible)
  14. Provide briefings to make veterans and spouses aware of what benefits may be available to them 
  15. Attend monthly meetings as needed with DVA, VAMC, State, and Local entities, on behalf of BC Veterans
