Commissioner David Linder
As a third generation Brazoria County resident, Commissioner David Linder proudly serves the constituents of Precinct 4. Born in the “Old Dow Community Hospital” and raised in Freeport, he attended Brazosport High School graduating in 1981. David attended Brazosport College and Law Enforcement Academy in Alvin. He has over 30 years of experience as a successful business owner in both construction and retail markets, and has served 20 years as a Texas Peace officer working as a patrolman for the City of Angleton and a Deputy Constable with Brazoria County. As a long-time rancher, David is a Lifetime Member of the Brazoria County Cattleman Association. Each of these has given David an insight to many different facets of life in Brazoria County allowing him to better serve his constituents.
Elected to the office of commissioner Precinct 4 in November 2014, David has used his many life experiences to help successfully move this office toward an exciting future. He currently serves as Commissioner’s court liaison to the following departments: Airport, Environmental Health, Purchasing, Records Management, Children Protective Service, and an alternate member of HGAC Transportation Policy Council. Involved in many civic service organizations throughout the county, David serves on numerous boards and committees which benefit the citizens of Brazoria County.
David and his wife Mollie have been married for 32 years and live in Bailey’s Prairie. They have two sons, a daughter, and a daughter-in-law. David’s favorite job title of all is of Paw Paw to his two beautiful granddaughters.
