High School Diploma or equivalent required, or combination of education and experience.  Knowledge and experience caring for and handling all types of animals is a plus.  Applicant must be willing to and able to attain State Certification in all required aspects of Animal Control, and the Laws of the State of Texas. Duties include, but are not limited to; dealing with the public, both over the phone and in person, some heavy lifting and the ability to deal with some stressful situations.  Applicants must pass drug screen and psychological, reading, and vocabulary testing. Applicant must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Texas driver’s license and have no criminal background.  Starting salary is $16.08 per hour.  For more information, please contact Lt.
